Alejandro Garnacho 'torn apart by Chelsea squad in dressing room' at half-time

Alejandro Garnacho was reportedly laid into by his Chelsea players at half-time of the Blues' recent defeat against Manchester United. Garnacho was subbed into the game early doors after an injury to Estevao forced the Brazilian wonderkid off the pitch.

After initially failing to make an impact on the right-hand side of Chelsea's attack, boss Liam Rosenior switched him over to his more favoured left-hand side. It didn't work to much effect though, as Garnacho continued to struggle throughout the 1-0 loss at Stamford Bridge.

Garnacho, of course, arrived from United in the summer transfer window, joining for a fee rumoured to be in the region of £40million. The Argentine was getting plenty of stick from the travelling United fans throughout Saturday night's Premier League encounter, but as far as Garnacho was concerned, the stick didn't end there.

As per The Sun, it's claimed the Chelsea players were unhappy with Garnacho's contributions, with some even going as far as giving him an earful during the half-time interval. Meanwhile, his former United team-mates revelled in their victory over Garnarcho on social media, with Luke Shaw posting a photo of him clattering into the ex-Red Devil.

It was liked, or commented on, by team-mates Dalot, Fernandes, Cunha, Joshua Zirkzee, Ayden Heaven, Lisandro Martinez, Patrick Dorgu and Mason Mount. Elsewhere, the official United social media account clipped up videos of Garnacho being tackled by several of their players, which received plenty of admiration from fans online.

It comes after Garnacho made some inflammatory comments during the last few days of his United career, including criticising the then-manager Ruben Amorim for not starting him in the Europa League final. He angered the fans shortly after by posting a picture in Marcus Rashford's Aston Villa shirt, with a move to Chelsea having been agreed shortly after.

The winger recently opened up about his actions, to Premier League Productions, the 21-year-old said: “I remember that, in the last six months, I was not playing like before at Manchester United. I started to be on the bench. It’s not such a bad thing – I was only 20 years old – but in my mind it was like I had to play every game.

“In my mind, maybe it was also on me. I started to do some bad things. But it was just a moment in life and sometimes you have to make decisions. I am really proud to be [at Chelsea] and still in the Premier League at a club like this. About United, I have nothing wrong to say about the club, anyone at the club or my team-mates. It was just a moment that changed and life continues. I have no regrets.”
