Defending football champions Karabok and Kobala Girls' face a challenging path to retain their titles after being handed tough pools for the Homa Bay County Secondary Schools Term Two games.Homa Bay Secondary Schools Sports Association secretary Gerald Onyango said the tournament will be held at Homa Bay Senior School and Ogande Girls' starting Monday . The boys’ and girls’ rugby 7s draws will be conducted directly at the venue."We are expecting a thrilling competition," Onyango said. "Since we are also hosting the regional championships, we want to have strong teams to represent us." Homa Bay is scheduled to host the Nyanza regional showpiece from July 7 to 11 at Homa Bay Senior School and Ogande Girls.In the boys' football fixtures, Karabok will launch their title defense in a highly competitive Pool A alongside Genda and the hosts, Homa Bay Senior School. Tournament favourites Ringa Boys headline Pool B with Bishop Mugendi and Gethsemane, while Mbita will navigate Pool C against Mirogi and Rangwe. Pool D features a four-way battle among Wiobiero, Oriwo, God Oloo, and Kalando.In the girls' football category, Kobala—who also reign as the Nyanza region champions—anchor a tricky Pool A that features Asumbi Girls and Magare.
