US Open LIVE: Star to be stripped of ranking points as Ben Shelton explodes in outburst

Finals weekend continues at the US Open.

Aryna Sabalenka will face Elena Rybakina in the women's singles final tonight on the Arthur Ashe Stadium.

But the men's doubles championship match takes place before that, and there's british interest.

Neal Skupski, and his American partner Christian Harrison, are eyeing their second Major title of the season. They teamed up to win the Aussie Open in January, just weeks into their partnership.

The No. 6 seeds face the successful German duo of Kevin Krawietz and Tim Puetz.

They'll be on court at 12pm local time (5pm UK).

Aryna Sabalenka is hoping to win a third straight US Open title tonight. To do that, she'll have to beat Elena Rybakina, who has just taken her world No. 1 ranking.

But Sabalenka's performance coach, Jason Stacy, has warned the Flushing Meadows is her house, and that it's time for everyone else to go home.

"The way I like to put it, no disrespect to anybody, is that, like, this is her house, and all the other girls are just guests, and it's time for them to go home," he said after the Belarusian reached a fourth straight final here.

"I don't mean that in a disrespectful way, but her showing up and understanding that, hey, it's her job to dictate the pace, to understand what her strategy is, and to not go to the level of the person across the net, not to meet them where they're at, but I'm here to just do my job, and that's it."

Everyone wants to be there to support their partner on milestone events, but for Trinity Rodman, that could be difficult.

The girlfriend of US Open star Ben Shelton is a professional sportstar in her own right, and is due to play in the Washington Spirit vs Boston Legacy clash at the same time as his US Open final vs Alexander Zverev.

Alexander Zverev reached his third Grand Slam final in a row.

He said after the Friday night win: "After the second round at 3am, me and my team were in the dressing room actually laughing at how bad I was playing. ​That sense of humour helped me.

"I have improved a little ⁠bit, otherwise I wouldn't be in the US Open final."

Ben Shelton lost his rag with an umpire during the US Open semi-final.

Aurelie Tourte allowed his opponent Frances Tiafoe to replay a point.

Shelton was unhappy and went up to the umpire's chair, saying she called the retake too late.

Tourte said the Tiafoe put his hands up, allowing for the retake.

Shelton, unhappy, said: "Why did you not say something then? How are you going to call it after. You've got to say something immediately."

Alex Eala is reportedly unlikely to get a WTA exemption for the Asian Games, meaning the tennis ace is likely to be docked ranking points.

The Filipino is looking to skip the mandatory WTA 1000 event in China for the Games in Japan.

Eala's fellow Southeast Asian player and world No. 36 Janice Tjen of Indonesia announced that the WTA denied her exemption request.

Tjen said in an Instagram post: "After a lot of consideration, I've had to make the difficult decision that I won't be able to compete at the Asian Games this year which take place at the same time as the mandatory WTA 1000 event in Beijing.

"We have received confirmation from the WTA that unfortunately, I have not been granted an exemption to compete at the Asian Games."
