The Netherlands women's national cricket team have announced a 15-member squad for the ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2026, scheduled to begin on June 12 in England and Wales. The Netherlands will make their first appearance in the Women’s T20 World Cup after qualifying through the global qualifiers held in Nepal last year. The Dutch side secured qualification after winning all three matches in the Super Six stage.Babette de Leede will captain the side in the tournament. Speaking after the squad announcement, de Leede said the team is looking forward to competing against the top teams in world cricket.“We are super excited for our first-ever appearance in the ICC T20 World Cup. It will be a great opportunity to compete with the best teams in the world and to show the talent that we have in the Netherlands on the big stage,” she said.The Netherlands have been placed in Group A alongside India women's national cricket team, Australia women's national cricket team, Pakistan women's national cricket team, South Africa women's national cricket team and Bangladesh women's national cricket team.They will open their campaign against Bangladesh at Edgbaston on June 14 before facing India at Headingley on June 17.Before the World Cup, the Netherlands will take part in a T20I tri-series in Scotland featuring Bangladesh and the hosts.
