Eva Lys vs Emma Navarro prediction

Eva Lys began her grass court campaign with a hard-fought win over Magdalena Frech in the first-round of the German Open, but she unable to generate further momentum as she was brushed aside by Elina Sviotlina in the next round. Lys has struggled with form and fitness for much of this campaign up to now and has not won back-to-back matches in 2026.

She will go up against Emma Navarro at the Bad Homburg Open. Navarro won the third tour-level title of her career in Strasbourg last month. The American lost in the first-round of the Libema Open but fared better in Nottingham, as defeated the likes of Yuliia Starodubtseva and Jessica Bouzas Maneiro to progress to the final. However, she was unable to win her second title of the campaign after a three set loss to Marie Bouzkova.

Navarro will have gained some confidence from her displays in her most recent event. Lys has the game to make this a very competitive first-round encounter, but Navarro will start this one as the favourite to progress to the next round.
