On the main stages of national and international football, followed by millions of people around the world, Barça will make its noblest essence visible: the Barça Foundation, which works to improve the lives of thousands of children and young people in Catalonia and across the globe. For the first time, the players’ shirt backs will become a global loudspeaker for the Barça Foundation and its mission to transform society for the common good. A decision full of symbolism that goes beyond the sporting sphere and reaffirms, before the world, the Club’s most genuine essence: the determination to generate a positive impact on society and to continue making real, every day, the meaning of being “More than a Club.”

The FC Barcelona shirt has been, over the past decades, much more than a sports kit. It has been a statement of principles. A space reserved for giving a voice to causes that speak to humanity and connect football with the great social challenges of our time.

In 2006, the Club surprised the world by giving the front of the shirt to UNICEF for the first time, becoming a global benchmark in defending children’s rights. Years later, that partnership continued on the back of the shirt, maintaining its commitment to the most vulnerable children.

Later, in 2022, a collaboration agreement was signed with the United Nations Refugee Agency (UNHCR/ACNUR), whose presence over the past four years has helped raise awareness among millions of fans about the reality of refugees and displaced people around the world.

Now, FC Barcelona writes a new chapter in this journey. A natural yet deeply meaningful step. Because social commitment ceases to be only an alliance with external causes and becomes, with pride, a homegrown initiative that represents the Club’s solidarity work worldwide.
