Sunrisers Hyderabad are reportedly not happy with a series of decisions going against them in the ongoing IPL 2026.

IPL franchise Sunrisers Hyderabad are reportedly considering approaching the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) after expressing dissatisfaction with a series of contentious decisions and incidents in recent matches.

The franchise is unhappy with the dismissal of Heinrich Klaasen during their IPL 2026 opener against Royal Challengers Bengaluru. Klaasen was ruled out after being caught by Phil Salt near the boundary. The decision was referred to the TV umpire, who stated there was no conclusive evidence to prove that Salt had touched the boundary line while completing the catch.

A similar situation arose in their match against Kolkata Knight Riders, where opener Abhishek Sharma was dismissed for 48. Varun Chakaravarthy took a difficult catch at deep square leg, but with doubts over its cleanliness, the decision again went to the TV umpire. As with the earlier incident, there was no conclusive evidence to overturn the on-field call.

The Avesh Incident

SRH’s frustration was compounded during their clash with Lucknow Super Giants on Sunday. With one run needed off two deliveries, captain Rishabh Pant hit a boundary off left-arm pacer Jaydev Unadkat to seal LSG’s first win of the season.

However, controversy followed when pacer Avesh Khan, standing near the dugout, struck the ball back onto the field with his bat before it reportedly crossed the boundary. This has led to questions whether a penalty should have been imposed on LSG for the conduct.

According to reports, SRH are now considering writing to the BCCI to formally raise concerns over both the disputed dismissals and the boundary incident.

SRH lost their season opener to RCB by six wickets before bouncing back to beat KKR by 65 runs at Eden Gardens. With two points from three matches, the 2016 champions are currently fifth on the points table and will next face Punjab Kings on Saturday in Mullanpur.
