Serena Williams returning to Wimbledon in doubles with sister Venus

Serena Williams' comeback continues as she prepares to make her return to Wimbledon. Williams will compete in the women's doubles alongside her sister, Venus, after receiving a wild card entry into the Championships, which begin on June 29.

The Williams sisters are six-time doubles champions at Wimbledon and last played doubles together at the major in 2016, when they won their sixth doubles title at The Championships. Combined, the Williams sisters have won 14 major doubles titles, making Serena the only player in tennis history to have a career Golden Slam in both singles and doubles.

This will mark Serena Williams' first match at Wimbledon since 2022. She recently made her competitive return at the HSBC Championship in London, partnering with Victoria Mboko. Unfortunately, their run was cut short when Mboko was forced to retire due to injury.

Serena’s next scheduled appearance on court will be at the Berlin Open on Tuesday, where she will team up with Karolina Muchova in the women’s doubles event.

Serena Williams doubles history at Wimbledon

Serena Williams, partnering with her sister Venus, has achieved extraordinary success at Wimbledon, capturing six women's doubles titles together. Their victories came in 2000, 2002, 2008, 2009, 2012, and 2016.
