COLLEGE STATION, Texas – The Tulane track and field team wrapped up action on the third day of the 44 Farms Team Invitational Saturday at E.B. Cushing Stadium. A pair of Green Wave athletes notched top-10 finishes in their respective events to highlight the day, as Aiden Yang was eighth in the men's javelin with Jasper Newton finishing ninth in the women's 800m invite.

The day started with field events, of which the Wave participated in three. Tulane saw action in both the men's and women's javelin, with Ali Saunders placing 13th on the women's side with a mark of 36.87m. For the men, Aiden Yang was eighth with a tally of 51.13m. Camille Cummings tied for 11th in the women's pole vault, notching a personal best of 3.67m.

On the track, Jasper Newton shined in the women's 800m invite. With a time of 2:11.65, she placed ninth. In a wind-aided women's 100m, Zaria Parker delivered a time of 11.68 to finish 15th. Her mark would have tied for seventh in program history if not for the wind. Brianna Brand was 30th with her time of 11.89. The men's 100m was also aided by the wind, and Lee Harris ran an 11.00 to place 43rd. A pair of Tulane athletes raced in the women's 400m, led by Marissa Gordon in 32nd with a time of 56.64. Nahema Dumonteil Cabanas was 35th with her time of 56.96.

Tulane is back in action next weekend with a pair of meets on the docket. The Wave will split as part of the team heads to the west coast for the Bryan Clay Invitational, hosted by Azusa Pacific in Azusa, California. The three-day meet begins on Thursday, April 16. The other portion of the program will compete in Houston, Texas, in the Tom Tellez Alumni Invitational. The event is hosted by the University of Houston and begins on Friday, April 17. Both meets conclude on Saturday, April 18.
