4-0 Bangladesh have won each of their last four Tests against Pakistan, spread over two series. They defeated Pakistan 2-0 in the two-match series in Rawalpindi in 2024, before replicating that result at home.Bangladesh became only the second team to whitewash Pakistan in a successive Test series of two or more matches. Australia had four consecutive whitewashes against Pakistan between 1999 and 2009. Pakistan are also the first team to be whitewashed in successive series of two or more matches by Bangladesh. Zimbabwe is the only other team against which Bangladesh had four consecutive Test wins (2013-2014).1 Bangladesh have now won four consecutive matches for the first time in their Test history. Before this series, Bangladesh had twin Test wins against Ireland at home last November. They have now won each of their last five Tests at home, which is also their best sequence.7 Consecutive defeats for Pakistan in Tests played away from home, their joint-worst such streak, equaling the seven they lost between 2018 and 2020.Pakistan are also the only team not to have won a Test match away from home since the start of 2024, as their previous away win came against Sri Lanka in July 2023.2 Pakistan lost both matches in this series after electing to bowl first. It is the first time they have lost two matches in a series after electing to bowl first. Overall, this is only the sixth instance of a team losing both games in a two-match Test series after electing to bowl.Before this series, Bangladesh had won only twice after being put into bat - against Zimbabwe in Harare in 2013, and Afghanistan in Mirpur in 2023.12 Test defeats as captain for Shan Masood in 16 matches, the second-most for a Pakistan captain, behind Misbah-ul-Haq's 19 in 56 games. Overall, only two captains suffered more losses in their first 16 Tests as captain - 13 each by Brendan Taylor and Shakib Al Hasan.Habibul Bashar also had 12 losses in his first 16 Tests. Khaled Mashud faced defeat in all 12 Tests as captain, while Mohammad Ashraful had 12 defeats in 13 matches.8 Test wins as captain for Najmul Hossain Shanto, making him the most successful captain for Bangladesh, going past Mushfiqur Rahim's seven wins. Shanto has six wins as captain in home Tests, the most for Bangladesh, surpassing Mushfiqur's five wins.3 Instances of Litton Das scoring a hundred and a fifty in a Test. Tamim Iqbal and Shanto also have three instances of a hundred and a fifty-plus score among Bangladesh batters. All three instances of Litton have come while batting at No. 6 or lower, and all while playing as a wicketkeeper.Dhananjaya de Silva and Matt Prior also have three such instances while batting at No. 6 or lower. Among wicketkeepers, Andy Flower has a century and a fifty-plus score in a Test match on five occasions, while Prior has done it three times.14 Hundreds for Mushfiqur in Test cricket, the most for Bangladesh in the format, going past Mominul Haque's 13 tons.
