The Packers' second unit offense is backed up to its 2-yard line. On an inside zone to running back Damien Martinez, Ty'Ron Hopper breaks through the middle for a safety.

A good rep for the young linebacker. The 25-year-old Hopper, a third round pick in 2024, is entering his third season in Green Bay.

Karl Brooks explodes past offensive line, double team

Defensive tackle Karl Brooks almost single-handedly blew up the No. 1 offense's first series on the "move the ball" drill.

Starting at the 20, quarterback Jordan Love would have likely taken sacks on both plays as Brooks blew past guard Donovan Jennings for a sure sack on first down.

On second down, Brooks got doubled, buit still managed to get pressure and he and fellow tackle Warren Brinson might have shared a sack if this were live action.

Brooks is entering his fourth season with the Packers.

Trey Smack remains perfect on the night

Trey Smack is now a perfect 4-4 tonight kicking inside Lambeau Field after splitting uprights from 45 yards.

He must be enjoying the calmer conditions than Ray Nitschke Field.

Anthony Campbell continues to impress

Packers defensive tackle Anthony Campbell with another batted pass, his fifth of camp.

The 25-year-old chased down quarterback Kyle McCord on the perimeter and batted his pass away out of the hand.

The second-year player has officially become the camp darling of 2026.

Jordan Love gives Tucker Kraft a piggyback ride

Jordan Love drains a bucket ball, and then gives Tucker Kraft a piggyback ride to celebrate.

I'm really not sure which is the more impressive athletic feat.

While he's wearing his jersey, Kraft isn't practicing as he takes a day off for leg maintenance. The fourth-year tight end is easing his way back after coming off the physically unable to perform list last week. But you can just tell Kraft is looking to do more.

Trey Smack makes his third kick on the night

Trey Smack makes another one, this time splitting uprights from 43 yards.

He's now 3-for-3 tonight inside Lambeau Field.

Smack had been inconsistent early in training camp but that was at Ray Nitschke Field. Maybe the rookie just needed to enter Lambeau Field to start making all his kicks.

Good adjustment in air from Savion Williams, who turns to haul in a fade from Tyrod Taylor for a 16-yard touchdown over Kitan Oladapo.

The second-year receiver had 10 receptions for 78 yards and a toucdown as a rookie in 2025. He also spent time as a kickoff returnee.

Jonathan Gannon's defense has versatility in playbook with players at line of scrimmage

A look that defensive coordinator Jonathan Gannon uses from time to time is to line three defensive linemen across the formation and then use just one outside linebacker, usually Lukas Van Ness.

It gives him the ability to add an extra defensive back and then bring inside linebacker Edgerrin Cooper down as a fifth defender on the line of scrimmage if needed.

It's a way to play nickel defense, but still have five defenders on the line of scrimmage to play the run.

Gannon replaced Jeff Hafley as defensive coordinator. Hafley spent two years leading the Packers defense before taking the Miami Dolphins' head coaching job.

Trey Smack makes 38-yard field goal

Trey Smack splits the uprights from 38 yards on his first kick inside Lambeau Field, unless you count his warmup XP, which he also made.

For your records, officials were allowed to signal whether or not the kick was good underneath the goal posts.

Head coach Matt LaFleur said a few days ago that during training camp he has stopped having officials give a signal on whether his kicks are good so reporters don't definitely know the results.

“At the end of the day, you're talking about practice situations,” LaFleur said of evaluating Smack. “I think the real tests will come in those preseason games, and then obviously into the regular season.”

Smack, selected by the Packers in the sixth round of the draft this spring, has struggled kicking early in training camp.

Smack is the only kicker in training camp after the team released the two kickers on the team's roster last season in Brandon McManus and Lucas Havrisik.

Brenton Cox Jr., Jonathan Ford shine in pass rush; Offensive lineman Anthony Belton mixed results

In one-on-one pass rush, end Brenton Cox Jr. was the star. He was red hot, bull-rushing tackle Darian Kinnard twice, once for what would have been a sure sack. Then he came back and destroyed tackle Travis Glover with a quick move around the corner.

Cox has one of the better pass-rush skill sets and it isn't surprising he did well.

Tackle Anthony Belton was up and down. He held up against rookie Dani-Dennis-Sutton on one rep and then lost badly to Barryn Sorrell, whose pass rush seems to get better with time. Glover struggled, losing to Cox Jr. and linebacker Edgerrin Cooper.

The pass rush of the day came from Jonathan Ford, who pancaked rookie guard Dylan Barrett on his way to the quarterback.

One offensive lineman worth watching is guard Dillon Wade, a rookie out of Auburn. At 6-3, 216 pounds, he's not the biggest guy, but he absorbs power well. Twice he took on power rushes and stymied both Anthony Campbell and Jaden Crumedy.

Golden flings the football high in air to celebrate in end zone

Fans will hope they see a lot of Love-Golden connections and touchdowns in 2026. Golden didn't have any regular-season touchdowns in his rookie season as his involvement in the offense was sporadic and he also battled some injuries.

MarShawn Lloyd already has two inside handoffs in opening team period and Barryn Sorrell has stuffed both off the edge, the second for a TFL on a draw.

Lloyd is finally looking for a healthy season. Through two seasons, Lloyd has only played one game due to several injuries.

Meanwhile, Sorrell, in his second season, is enjoying a solid training camp.

Brandon Cisse a tough defender on Christian Watson

Cisse stuck to Watson on an inside move, in position to swipe for a PBU in the end zone.

Watson beat the 2026 second-round pick outside on the next rep, but Cisse made him work enough to force incompletion on high pass.

Matthew Golden has over the shoulder catch after beating Keisean Nixon

Matthew Golden gets the better of Keisean Nixon in 1v1.

The second-year wide receiver shakes Nixon on a shallow slant. Then the 23-year-old got behind him on a deep go and caught Jordan Love's pass over the shoulder.

With Romeo Doubs gone, Golden is expected to be used much more in the offense then he was as a rookie. The 2025 first-round pick didn't have his first touchdown until the team's wild-card playoff game at Chicago.

It's Love's first child with wife, Ronika.

Tucker Kraft not practicing at Packers Family Night

One week ago, Tucker Kraft made his highly-anticipated return to the Packers from injury.

Kraft, who suffered a torn ACL in a game last season in early November, was taken off the physically unable to perform list.

He has been practicing since, though he's easing his way back, but he'll be taking Family Night off.

Before the injury on Nov. 2, Kraft had his best game of his career in what was a breakout season. Kraft, who was a yards after contact star, posted a career-high seven catches for 143 yards and two touchdowns in the Packers' 35-25 win over the Steelers before a national audience on "Sunday Night Football" on Oct. 26.

It was his second 100-plus yard receiving game of the season.

Kraft expects to be back to full strength for the season opener on Sept. 13.

Micah Parsons at Packers Family Night

Micah Parsons won't be participating in Packers Family Night.

But the All-Pro edge rusher is in attendance inside Lambeau Field and appears to be enjoying himself. He's dressed in street clothes and had his cellphone out as he took in the sights and sounds from the annual event.

It's Parsons first Family Night since he didn't join the team until late August in 2025 after he was traded to the Packers from the Dallas Cowboys following all of the team's training camp practices and preseason games.

Parsons went on to have a Pro Bowl season but it ended in crushing fashion in Week 15 when he tore his ACL in a game against the Denver Broncos.

The 27-year-old Parsons is continuing to recover from the injury and is on the physically unable to perform list during training camp.

He's expected to begin the season on the PUP list as well where he'll be out the first month-plus. He'll likely eye a return in mid October.

Parsons became a father for the third time a couple weeks after the injury in late 2025. Parsons ran onto the field with two of his children in his arms.

NFL referee Shawn Hochuli and his crew are in uniform and will be working the practice.

It is tradition for NFL officials to visit training camps to get themselves ready for the season.

They usually meet with the players to go over rule changes and changes in emphasis this season and answer general questions about what they're looking at when they make certain calls.

Jordan Love on Family Night as a dad

Packers Family Night is all about families.

And Jordan Love's family grew in 2026. He and his wife, Ronika, welcomed their first child into the world this spring.

The Packers' seventh-year quarterback and Ronika, announced the birth of their daughter, Rayna Capri, in a joint Instagram post on May 23:

"A full month with our little ray of sunshine," the caption said. "Rayna Capri Love thank you for making our family whole, you are our everything."

Ronika and Rayna visited Jordan at the first training camp on July 29.

As of 5:30 p.m., it was 81 degrees with a heat index of 84 in Green Bay and a dew point of 68 degrees, according to the National Weather Service. The forecast calls for a few clouds this evening with a chance for thunder storms tonight.

Winds are coming from the southwest at 9 mph.

Only refunds will be issued if all stadium activities – from 5:30 p.m. until the end of the fireworks show – are canceled. If the practice starts and has to end due to weather, refunds won't be issued.
