No. 8 Aggies Drop Regular Season Finale to No. 9 Sooners

AUSTIN – The No. 8 Texas A&M men's tennis team fell in its last match of the regular season to the No. 9 Oklahoma Sooners, 4-1, at the Weller Tennis Center Sunday night.

The Aggies (17-8, 10-4 SEC) fell behind early after giving up two doubles courts to Oklahoma (18-5, 10-4 SEC).

Theo Papamalamis started singles action off with an impressive win against No. 33 Luis Alvarez on court 1, 6-1, 6-1. The Sooners would go on to take three straight courts to secure the win.

The Aggies return to the courts Thursday at 6 p.m. as the 5-seed for the SEC Tournament at the Mitchell Tennis Center, where they face 12th seed Vanderbilt or 13th seeded Alabama.
