Young reporter, 11, calls on cricket fans to join his new team

An 11-year-old boy who captured the nation's heart is now looking for the UK's next team of young cricket reporters.

Brighton's Ravi Adelekan has been appointed a Chief Reporter for Howzat, The Cricket Magazine for Kids, and is on the lookout for a team of young reporters to join him from August 1 2026.

Ravi is now searching for fellow young cricket fans to join him in uncovering and telling inspiring stories from the world of cricket.

He said: "I want to be a sports reporter, so I'm so excited by this opportunity. Now I need a team.

"Every local club has amazing stories, brilliant characters and unforgettable moments. I want young people across the country to help me tell them.

The Howzat Young Reporters Programme is open to everyone and requires no experience, just a love of cricket and a story to tell.

Ravi's personal achievements include his Ravi's Dream campaign, raising hundreds of thousands of pounds for charity and winning the Golden Buzzer on Britain's Got Talent.

He was also recognised with a Pride of Britain Award.
