Arthur Rinderknech is a dangerous hard-court player, with his serve and aggressive baseline game making him difficult to beat. However, Nakashima has been extremely consistent from the baseline and appears to have plenty of momentum behind him. Expect the American to use that consistency to progress.

Nuno Borges vs Luciano Darderi

Nuno Borges and Luciano Darderi have both enjoyed strong seasons, with Darderi particularly impressive during his breakout year. Borges has punched above his weight on hard courts this week, but Darderi is the more aggressive player and will look to dictate from the baseline. If the Italian can keep his error count under control, his greater firepower should allow him to take charge. Expect Darderi to dominate the baseline exchanges and move through.

Arthur Fils enters as the favorite based on his form in 2026 and should have the advantage in terms of baseline power. Cameron Norrie escaped against Alex de Minaur in dramatic fashion, but faces a much tougher task here against a player who hits the ball considerably harder. Norrie could struggle to consistently penetrate Fils’ defenses and will likely be forced to rely on his movement and consistency. Expect Fils to dictate from the baseline and win comfortably.

Jiri Lehecka vs Rafael Jodar

What a year Rafael Jodar is having, with the Spaniard continuing to impress and adapting extremely well to hard courts after reaching the final of the Citi Open last week. Jiri Lehecka has also enjoyed a solid campaign with a 23-14 record, but Jodar currently looks more confident and willing to go for his shots in the biggest moments. Both players prefer to dictate from the baseline, so expect plenty of aggressive exchanges. This should be tight, but Jodar’s current confidence could prove decisive.
