Arsenal summer transfer plans revealed with £100m stance, Ayyoub Bouaddi talks and seven exits

A look at the business Arsenal could do this summer, with the club linked to the likes of Ayyoub Bouaddi, Jeremy Monga, Morgan Rogers, Bradley Barcola and Eli Junior Kroupi

The summer transfer window is officially open and Arsenal have already started conducting business. The Gunners won the Premier League for the first time in 22 years in May and also reached the Champions League final and Carabao Cup final, where they lost to PSG and Man City respectively.

Mikel Arteta and Andrea Berta are keen to ensure the north Londoners compete on all four fronts again next season and, in order for that to happen, the duo know improvements must be made to the squad in the coming weeks and months.

“We’ve already had a few conversations about different areas that we think we can improve – both on and off the pitch. We are looking forward to getting that going this summer," Josh Kroenke said last month. “It is going to be an interesting one because of the World Cup, but fortunately everybody is coming to the United States, so I don’t have to travel for once.”

When it comes to exits, work is already well underway. Jakub Kiwior has made his loan move to Porto permanent, with the Portuguese giants paying an initial £14.7million for the defender which could rise to £19million.

Karl Hein has also joined Werder Bremen for a reported £2.6million fee after spending the 2025/26 season on loan at the Bundesliga side. Eight academy stars have also been released.

On the incomings front, Arsenal are interested in both Morgan Rogers and Eli Junior Kroupi, football.london understands. Aston Villa and Bournemouth are under no obligation to let their prized assets leave, however, and any deal for either player is likely to be an expensive one. Villa are said to want £100million for Rogers while the Cherries value Kroupi at more than £86million.

It's also believed the Gunners want to add a midfielder and full back to the team. Arsenal have been courting Lille starlet Ayyoub Bouaddi since 2025 and the 18-year-old shone for Morocco in their World Cup opener against Brazil at the weekend.

Arsenal sporting director Berta has already made inroads with Bouaddi's representatives. These conversations did not take place this week; they are understood to have happened as early as the start of the year as the Italian chief has known for some time that Bouaddi was a world-class prodigy.

PSG are also said to be courting the ball-playing technician but given the Premier League champions are actively targeting a new midfielder that can operate as both a No.8 and No.6, don't be surprised if they motor into pole position swiftly. Mateus Fernandes is another midfielder who has been linked but West Ham's £80m asking price is deemed excessive while Newcastle would also drive a hard bargain for Sandro Tonali, another name of interest to the Gunners.

Elsewhere, Arsenal are in talks over a transfer for Leicester City’s highly-rated teenager Jeremy Monga. The 16-year-old has been a regular in the Foxes’ first team squad over the last two seasons.

Monga is a player highly appreciated by Arsenal, football.london understands, with talks underway to determine the capacity for a move. Suggestions are that any transfer could cost the Gunners in the region of £10million to £15million.

Arsenal want to improve their roster of young talent and have already agreed a deal to sign Victor Ozhianvuna who will join the north Londoners in the January window of next season. While Ecuadorian twins Edwin and Holger Quintero will join in August of 2027 as further efforts to bring in the brightest talent remains a priority.

PSG's Bradley Barcola is another name understood to be of interest to Arteta and could cost around £70m as he's entered the final two years of his deal in Paris. The France international, who netted 13 goals in 49 appearances last season, has also attracted interest from Liverpool but PSG do not wish to let the player leave, although their hand could be forced if a serious offer is submitted.

With Kiwior and Hein already permanently departed, more exits are expected, too. Fabio Vieira spent last campaign at Hamburger SV but the German club have made it clear they will not be not be triggering their £19.15million (€22m) option to buy the attacker.

It's understood Hamburger do not have the financial power to trigger the transfer clause and are instead planning to re-negotiate a deal with the Gunners. In the past few weeks, director of football Claus Costa and head coach Merlin Polzin have held private talks with Vieira, valued at €18million (£15.5million) by transfermarkt, in a bid to convince him to stay, however, he is expected to attract interest from elsewhere.

Another player expected to depart is Reiss Nelson. The Hale Ender spent last season at Brentford but he failed to make an impact as injury again disrupted his time away from Emirates Stadium. The 26-year-old has just one year remaining on his current deal, like Vieira.

Who else departs will most likely depend on if Arsenal can get a decent fee. Ben White, Christian Norgaard, Gabriel Jesus, Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard could well be allowed to leave if the Gunners receive an offer they deem to be acceptable, while a decision needs to be made on Ethan Nwaneri after his troubled spell on loan at Marseille.
