MORA STARS AS MEXICO MAINTAIN PERFECT START TO DUMP OUT CZECHIAJulian Quinones, Mateo Chavez and Alvaro Fidalgo got the party started at Estadio Azteca as Mexico cruised to a dominant 3-0 victory over Czechia.Rounding off Group A in style, Mexico made it three wins out of three to claim maximum points and ruthlessly dump Czechia out of the World Cup.On the night he became the youngest player to start a World Cup game since 2002, 17-year-old wonderkid Gilberto Mora impressed for El Tri in Mexico City. The attacking midfielder put on a performance way beyond his years as he lit up the Azteca, sparking the game into life with his creativity. After a drub first half, Chavez netted the long-awaited opening goal for Mexico in the 55th minute, finishing a clinical counter-attack after being played through by Luis Romo.Quinones then doubled El Tri’s lead six minutes later, poking home from close range after Tomas Holes’ poor clearance ricocheted into his path. With a two-goal advantage and having netted in all three World Cup group games for the first time since 2002, there was even time for a Guillermo Ochoa swansong.Ochoa, now 40, was brought on to replace Raul Rangel and appear in his sixth consecutive World Cup to a deafening cheer on 78 minutes. There was then time for one last quake of noise as Fidalgo whipped in a third deep in stoppage time, finding the top left corner after a Roberto Alvarado lay-off.It’s the end of the road for Czechia but for Mexico, it’s just the beginning as they mark their biggest World Cup win since 1970.
