Morgan Riddle is stepping into her latest chapter

After PEOPLE confirmed her split from pro tennis player Taylor Fritz in April, the content creator is stepping into her own

Speaking with PEOPLE about her new role as an ambassador for STORM, the content creator shares how she's keeping busy and carrying on as she adjusts to single life

Morgan Riddle tells PEOPLE that there are a few things in her "toolkit" when it comes to dealing with heartbreak.

In April, PEOPLE confirmed that the popular content creator — who has redefined what it means to be a female fan of sports (including tennis) with her educational, but also fun, fashion-based social media content — and her longtime partner, American professional tennis player Taylor Fritz, had split. The pair had been dating since June 2020.

That same day, Riddle, 28, posted a cheeky post to her Instagram grid, featuring a grainy shot of her wearing a cropped white baby tee, featuring red lettering which read "World's Best Ex-Girlfriend." Just a few days later, the influencer also announced that she would be partnering with energy drink company STORM — posing with a can of the beverage and captioning the post: "Turns out heartbreak pairs well with caffeine :)."

Since then, she's made a few humorous references to her recent split, as she shows she's taking it all on the chin.

Now, chatting with PEOPLE exclusively for her role as an ambassador for STORM, Riddle says that she's "lucky" to have had the "support system of friends and family in my tool kit" as she steps into her new solo era in New York City.

"I recently moved to New York City and have already found myself experiencing and sharing the moments, lessons and experiences that this city has to offer," she explains. "It truly is the city that never sleeps, but I'm enjoying the pace and lifestyle here," she adds.

Since setting up her "Barbie dream house" apartment (as she referred to it in a recent Elle profile piece), the influencer has found herself energized by the city's vibrance.

"It's inspiring," adds Riddle, who has picked up new hobbies since she's touched down in the Big Apple — like taking ballet classes, which she often posts about online. Trying loads of new restaurants and completing her mission to taste the best matcha in the city are also at the top of her to-do list.

The New York Times once dubbed Riddle "the most famous woman in men's tennis." While the moniker may have started in connection to her former boyfriend, she's built her own brand in the world of the racket sport.

Earlier this year, she joined The 400 Club, as its co-founder and chief brand officer. The 400 Club is a global sports membership platform, focused on connecting female athletes, fans and creatives, per its Instagram account.

"At The 400 Club, we're building and expanding a community of female athletes, founders, creatives, and content creators who will continue to drive forward the female culture in the world of sport," she tells PEOPLE.

As summer kicks into gear, there's lots on the docket for Riddle.

Right now, she's enjoying the buzz of the city as New Yorkers continue to celebrate the New York Knicks, who are in the NBA Finals for the first time since 1999. In true Riddle fashion, on her IG Stories ahead of Game 3 on Monday, June 8, Riddle posted a snap of a message written in chalk on a New York City sidewalk which asked passersby, "Will the Knicks get a ring before you do?" "Definitely," wrote Riddle in parentheses, punctuating the post with a few crying laughing emojis.

"I can't wait for the World Cup to start and catch a few games," she adds of the 2026 tournament, which is set to kick off in the New York City area on June 13.

She concludes, "As I look ahead, I'm excited to try new things, continue traveling, work hard on the ventures and communities I care deeply about, spend meaningful time with friends and family, and be intentional about prioritizing myself, too."
