If rain interrupts any of the Asian Games semi-finals, a Super Over will be played to settle the tie and decide the finalist. If weather prevents a Super Over from being played, the higher-seeded side goes through.

After days of incessant rains at Aichi-Nagoya, the outlook is expected to improve. The chance of rain on Thursday is a negligible 1 per cent, with sunny conditions and temperatures ranging from a cool 18 degrees Celsius overnight to a daytime high of 30 degrees.

India hold a lopsided 23-9 advantage over Sri Lanka in T20I cricket, with one fixture abandoned. The last two meetings between the sides both went to Super Overs with India coming through on each occasion. Sri Lanka's most recent win in the fixture dates back to 2023.
