LAHORE - The second round of the Regional Inter-District Senior (Karachi Region) Cricket Tournament commenced on Friday across various city venues, with impressive individual performances highlighting the opening day. Sabeeh Siddiqui led the batting charts with sparkling 118, while Aibaad Khan remained unbeaten on 100, anchoring his side’s strong total. Bahadur Ali narrowly missed a century with a fluent 94, and Muhammad Taha Mehmood contributed a valuable 93. Among the bowlers, Saifullah delivered a match-winning spell, claiming 5 wickets for 18 runs, while Najeebur Rehman impressed with figures of 4 for 27.At KCCA Stadium, Zone-III were bowled out for 94, with Saifullah’s five-wicket haul doing the damage. In response, Zone-VI posted 257, powered by Aibaad Khan’s unbeaten century.At UBL Sports Complex, Zone-VII scored 244 thanks to Sabeeh Siddiqui’s brilliant ton, while Zone-II struggled at 71 for 6, with Najeebur Rehman leading the bowling attack.Meanwhile, at Baqai Ground, Zone-I posted a strong 252 for 6, with solid contributions from Bahadur Ali and Taha Mehmood, while Zone-V reached 73 for 2 at stumps.
