India will have an opportunity to secure an LA 2028 Olympics quota in compound archery when the mixed team event takes centre stage at the Asian Games 2026 on Wednesday, September 30.Chikitha Taniparthi and Sahil Jadhav face Thailand in the compound mixed team semi-finals, with the medal matches also scheduled later today. The Asian Games champions in the event will secure a quota place for their country for LA 2028, where compound mixed team archery will make its Olympic debut.India will have two more medal opportunities in compound archery on Wednesday.Jyothi Surekha Vennam, Prithika Pradeep and Chikitha Taniparthi face the Republic of Korea in the women’s team semi-finals, while Sahil Jadhav, Ganesh Mani Ratnam Thirumuru and Kushal Dalal take on South Korea in the men’s team last four.
