The transfer window is in full flow as Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester United, Liverpool and Tottenham continue to work on close huge deals during the World Cup. The biggest news this week involved the Gunners' reported interest in Bruno Guimaraes, having held talks with the player's agents. Newcastle are desperate to keep hold of the player amid reports he could be available for a cut-price £60million fee, while Aston Villa want £100m for Morgan Rogers.

As Arsenal also discuss a move for wonderkid Jeremy Monga, amid interest in Ayyoub Bouaddi, Bradley Barcola, Eli Junior Kroupi, and Christos Tzolis, Tottenham want to sign Guimaraes' team-mate Sandro Tonali for around £85m, and are said to have had a second bid rejected, but could first sign Mateus Fernandes from West Ham for around the same figure. Chelsea have booked a medical for Marco Palestra and hope to sign Maxence Lacroix for a combined £100m.

Manchester United are said to have made contact with Julian Alvarez's agent, stepped up their pursuit of Felix Nmecha, and continue to monitor Alex Scott or Aurelien Tchouameni as they look to add a second central midfielder. Victor Munoz reveals Iraola role in snubbing Newcastle

Victor Munoz has revealed that a conversation with Andoni Iraola convinced him to join Liverpool instead of Newcastle.

Munoz, last week, became the first Liverpool signing of the summer transfer window after sealing a move from LaLiga side Osasuna in a deal worth a reported £34.5million.

Confirmation of the transfer came as somewhat of a surprise to many, with Newcastle said to have reached an agreement with both the player and Osasuna before being hijacked by their Premier League rivals at the 11th hour.

Speaking to Spanish outlet Cadena SER after completing his move to Liverpool, Munoz has explained how Iraola convinced him to perform a u-turn and make the switch to Anfield.

Newcastle reject second Tottenham bid for Tonali

Tottenham have seen their second bid for Sandro Tonali rejected.

Accoridng to the Mail, Spurs did not increase their first bid worth £75million but instead asked Newcastle to reconsider.

It has been suggested that Spurs changed the terms of the deal but not the total sum.

Newcastle continue to hold firm over their £100m valuation.

Man Utd have plan to sign Julian Alvarez

Manchester United have reportedly contacted Julian Alvarez’s representatives as they explore an audacious potential summer move for the Arsenal target.

Atletico Madrid forward has quickly become a key player in the summer transfer market, having been the subject of rejected bids from both Real Madrid and Barcelona this summer.

Arsenal have a long-standing interest in Alvarez, who has previously impressed at Manchester City., and now Man Utd are said to have thrown their hat into the ring.

According to Spanish publication AS, Man Utd have spoken directly to Alvarez's agent.

And report add that Atleti could be tempted by the move as they have interest in several of Man Utd's players, suggesting that a part-exchange deal could be in the offing.

Newcastle respond to Arsenal move for Bruno Guimaraes

Newcastle have responded to reports that Arsenal have made contact with Bruno Guimaraes amid claims the player has a £60million release clause.

Reports emerged on Thursday claiming that the Gunners are set to approach Newcastle with a first official bid for the Brazil star.

The Mail report that Bruno Guimaraes's representatives are sounding out clubs over their potential interest in the player, suggesting that Newcastle's best player is looking for a summer exit.

The Sun add that Mikel Arteta would want Bruno Guimaraes to provide competition and support for Declan Rice and Martin Zubimendi.

The Brazil international, who turns 29 years old in November, has two years left to run on his contract, but could be available for around £60m.

According to Spanish publication AS, the player has an agreement with Newcastle to leave if they fail to qualify for the Champions League.

Liverpool to rival Chelsea for Lacroix

Liverpool may rival Chelsea for Crystal Palace’s Maxence Lacroix this summer.

The Blues are understood to have held exploratory talks regarding signing the player this summer, but new reports from the Daily Mail suggest the Reds are also keen on the defender, who is presently representing France at the World Cup.

ICYMI: West Ham target Abdul Fatawu

West Ham are interested in Leicester City winger Abdul Fatawu.

The Hammers are in the market for a winger, with both Crysencio Summerville and Jarrod Bowen attracting interest this summer, while Tottenham are said to be increasingly confident of securing a deal for midfielder Mateus Fernandes.

Former West Ham boss David Moyes is believed to be interested in reuniting with Bowen at Everton, while Summerville is set to have his pick of the clubs after impressing with the Netherlands at this summer’s World Cup. Manchester United have been linked.

West Ham need to raise funds following their relegation to the Championship and Standard Sport understands that Fatawu has been identified as a cut-price option after Leicester’s demotion to League One.

Tottenham have confirmed the signing of ex-Arsenal midfielder Victoria Pelova on a free transfer.

She follows Laia Codina in making the same move.

The Netherlands international said after signing: “It felt immediately right to go to Spurs.”

Man City 'reach Anderson agreement'

Manchester City have agreed a deal to sign Nottingham Forest midfielder Elliot Anderson, but the transfer is not yet complete.

City have been pursuing Anderson for several weeks and seen multiple offers rejected by Forest, but their latest improved bid, sent on Thursday, has been deemed satisfactory.

Per reports from The Athletic, Forest have accepted the latest bid, the valuation of which is unknown, though they had hoped to bring in a fee greater than the £125m Liverpool spent to sign Alexander Isak last season. Previous offers rejected by Forest had been valued at £106m and £120m.

Paz to Real Madrid latest

Real Madrid have activated their buy-back clause for Nico Paz.

The Como midfielder left the Bernabeu two seasons ago, but after impressing in Italy, is due to return.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Como have the contractual option to buy the player themselves for €60m (£51.6m), but if they decide against doing so, he will return to Spain.
