Jarrad Branthwaite, Beto and Everton injury latest

Carl from PA on Barry - Moyes says he has other players he might consider playing up front ahead of Barry but will not go into his thoughts on who.

That is it from the open section and these updates

Moyes updates Giulia from the BBC on Jarrad Branthwaite. "We feel for him, he played really well in the game."

Moyes hopes this latest injury is not indicative of him having issues going forward. But he accepts he is worried about him going forward.

On Armstrong, "he needs to keep his work up at the moment, he has just had a dip, probably to be expected..."

On Barry, what more can he do: "Score, play well and be a team player."

Moyes says he has had moments this season and hopes he can have more. Is this an opportunity for him? Moyes: "If I play him."

Any thoughts on promoting Braiden Graham from the U21s? Moyes says everyone wants young players to come through and he is pleased with Braiden's form but that he might have a little bit to go before reaching the first team.

Stuart from PLP, still looking at West Ham: Does there current plight make you more proud of what you achieved there?

Moyes says he is sad for the situation they are in. He enjoyed his time there and worries for people who might lose their jobs should the club go down. He says there are worse things in the world than getting relegated but that nobody wants it.

Moving onto Everton - has any thought turned to next season? Moyes says where Everton finish might have an impact on what they need to do but they are in a strong position.

Oh - he confirms Beto will miss West Ham with concussion.

Moyes says there is some anger "bubbling" after the derby and that there is a sense it was a missed opportunity. The side needs to harness that but also move on, he says.

On Europe Moyes says: "I am back not talking about it again, it looks a long way away at the moment."

On West Ham, "they are fighting for everything". He says it is a really good club and he left a great group of people there - believes they should not be in this position but that the Premier League is "unforgiving". Moyes believes managerial churn is not helpful.

Is he surprised where they are given how he left them? "I felt probably the time I was there we started to look like a side that wasn't going to get into this situation."

We start with Vinny asking about Moyes getting to 750 Premier League games v West Ham - how does that feel?

Moyes feels it is a great achievement to have reached 1,000 games in charge already, and he is pleased with the accomplishment but it is not something he set out to get. He is closing in on Wenger and Sir Alex Ferguson - can he reach them? Moyes says he is "enjoying his football" and as long as he can keep his energy up to carry on he will do so. Asked about his future here, he says that is not his focus at the moment.

Everton's game is a big one tomorrow, but it comes at the end of a big week of fixtures. The Brighton win over Chelsea saw the Seagulls open up some daylight but did at least mean Chelsea's woes continue. And that stoppage time equaliser by Sean Longstaff for Leeds at Bournemouth on Wednesday was huge for Everton. Those results just mean another few games have passed without anyone, Brighton excluded, pulling away from the Blues. Sunderland are at home to Forest tonight and Everton could do with the Black Cats dropping points.

Obviously, Everton will not qualify for Europe without winning tough games but results elsewhere are important. Crystal Palace and Sunderland are two upcoming opponents who could still qualify for Europe but, depending on results, could be out of that battle by the time they face Everton - that would be helpful.

Hello everyone, Joe Thomas here at Finch Farm. The weather is glorious, after so many cold afternoons here it is lovely to feel the warmth of the sunshine. A big game tomorrow, will be interesting to hear David Moyes' thoughts ahead of the trip to West Ham.

Hoping Beto will have the all clear after coming off injured in the derby. We know Jarrad Branthwaite is out for the rest of the season but his injury and Michael Keane's new contract will both come up today, I am sure.

If Michael Keane starts alongside James Tarkowski at centre-back, that will mean Jake O’Brien continuing at right-back.

And ahead of the showdown at the London Stadium, the Republic of Ireland international said: “There are still a few games to go and we’re right in it. It’s very tight in the table with a few games to go and we’re looking to go to everyone and get results."

As you’ll no doubt be aware, Michael Keane has been rewarded for a strong season by being handed a new one-year contract.

Keane is likely to be the player to replace Jarrad Branthwaite in Everton’s starting line-up on Saturday and David Moyes is likely to be asked about the defender at this afternoon’s press conference.

But here’s what the Blues boss had to say after Keane’s deal was announced yesterday: “We’re pleased to have extended Michael’s long service at Everton.

“He is an experienced and respected member of the squad, who knows the standards we expect at the club.

“Michael has been consistent all season and he’ll continue to be a valuable part of our squad going into next season.”

We know that Jarrad Branthwaite is extremely unlikely to play again this season. He will be a huge miss, as was evidenced by the fact that Virgil van Dijk’s winner for Liverpool last weekend came after the centre-back was stretchered off.

But I actually believe Beto’s departure, earlier on in the half, was an even bigger blow.

Not for the first time in Merseyside derbies, he gave Van Dijk and, in particular, Ibrahima Konate, a very tough time, but I just wonder if the striker was still on the field he would have prevented the winning goal.

Until his withdrawal, he was excellent in heading away set-pieces at the near post.

Fingers crossed Beto is fit to face West Ham United.
