Tennis LIVE: Emma Raducanu delayed and faces suspension as Serena Williams match cancelled

All the latest updates from Queen's on a packed day where Emma Raducanu, Serena Williams, Elena Rybakina and Katie Boulter all play.

The first three days of Queen's were hampered by weather issues and day four could be more of the same with a grim weather forecast in West Kensington. Play was stopped for the day last night due to the courts being too slippery from the rain, with Donna Vekic's match against Marie Bouzkova halted while the Croatian led 6-5 in the first set.

And another story out of Queen's is that Serena Williams' doubles campaign could be wrecked by a horrible injury. Williams and Canadian Victoria Mboko teamed up to beat Erin Routliffe and Nicole Melichar-Martinez in straight sets on Tuesday. It was the American legend's first match in 1,375 days, but a horror fall for Mboko last night which caused her to retire from her singles match means she may be forced to pull out of the doubles.

Serena Williams match cancelled

Some sad news from Queen's.

Victoria Mboko has pulled out of doubles with the injury she sustained last night.

That means Serena Williams will not play again at the tournament this week.

The pair were due to play their second-round doubles match in the final contest on centre court later today.

Queen's matches delayed

Nevermind, an announcement just in from Queen's...

Play has been delayed until at least 12.30pm.

So Emma Raducanu has at least another hour to wait before her match against Sorana Cirstea.

Matches underway

Less than an hour until we're underway at Queen's.

But in the Netherlands play is already underway.

Third seed Elise Mertens looks likely to the first set to Gabriela Ruse in 's-Hertogenbosch.

While Ugo Humbert trails to fellow Frenchman Benjamin Bonzi.

'I can be dangerous'

Karolina Pliskova believes she could be a decent outside bet for Wimbledon this year.

The Czech, 34, is into the quarter-finals at Queen's and contested the Wimbledon final back in 2021.

She's now ranked 106th in the world so will be a threat among the unseeded players at the grass-court Grand Slam.

Asked the question if she can be a dangerous outside at SW19, she said: "Yes (laughter). No, I mean, of course, but still, depending on the draw, you can have some ugly players facing on grass.

"I feel like if I can pass first round, second round, then I can be dangerous.

"Of course you always need that confidence, but you need matches, which now I kind of have a lot of matches, especially this year. Even on clay I played a lot matches. Yeah, let's see."

So who's playing Queen's?

That leaves a less exciting Queen's line-up then past years.

Top of the billing is No.1 seed Alex de Minaur, while Jiri Lehecka, Jakub Mensik, Rafael Jodar and Cameron Norrie are also in the top 10 seeds.

Absent due to injury or fitness issues are Lorenzo Musetti, Luciano Darderi, Valentin Vacherot, Holger Rune and Jack Draper.

Stacked Halle entry list

The Halle Open line-up is absolutely stacked - which isn't great news for Queen's.

The two events clash next week, and a lot of the top ATP players have opted to go and play in Germany instead.

Recent French Open champion Alexander Zverev is among them, as are fellow top-10 players Felix Auger-Aliassime, Ben Shelton, Daniil Medvedev and Roland Garros runner-up Flavio Cobolli.

Other big names include Alexander Bublik, Joao Fonseca and wildcard Nick Kyrgios.

Holger Rune pulls out

Holger Rune won't be playing in the men's event at Queen's next week, it has been confirmed.

The Dane ruptured his Achilles last October and hasn't played since, but won't be using the London event to launch his comeback.

The 23-year-old has now withdrawn from Hamburg, the French Open and Queen's with it unclear if he'll be fit for Wimbledon later this month or not.

No Mboko update yet

Still no word on how Victoria Mboko's feeling.

Her and Serena Williams are due to be last on court today so looks like she's giving herself as long as possible.

After all, it might be that the pair cannot play today anyway.

Fingers crossed the Canadian pulls through!

Today's start time

A reminder that play is due to get underway at Queen's today from 11.30am.

Let's hope it actually does!

Weather forecast

The forecast isn't looking very positive at all for Queen's today.

We might not see any completed matches at all!

On Monday we got only match finished due to the weather conditions, and it's pretty miserable out there again.

Who's playing elsewhere?

Of course, we've also got tennis in Stuttgart, in Germany, and 's-Hertogenbosch, in the Netherlands, today.

Frances Tiafoe, Jiri Lehecka, Taylor Fritz and Ben Shelton are all in action at the Stuttgart Open.

While Felix Auger-Aliassime, Arthur Rinderknech, Ugo Humbert, Marin Cilic, Elise Mertens and Barbora Krejcikova are among those playing in the Libema Open.

Serena Williams at risk

And if the weather problems weren't enough, Serena Williams could find her doubles match today cancelled.

Victoria Mboko was in tears after the fall which forced her to retire while leading the second set against Karolina Pliskova.

The tournament later said her retirement from singles was due to a left knee injury.

That has cast doubt on her doubles partnership with Serena.

If Mboko withdraws, the 19-year-old cannot be replaced by another doubles player, so the pair would have to give their quarter-final opponents, Laura Siegemund and Leylah Fernandez, a walkover into the final four.

Emma Raducanu match facing suspension

Her win over Anna Blinkova was interrupted by rain on Monday and now Emma Raducanu's next match could be hampered by the weather too.

She faces world No.18 Sorana Cirstea as the first match on centre court today.

But we're expecting rainy conditions all day in central London so it's highly likely the match will be suspended at least once.
