Luxury Sports Travel At Rosewood Hotels & Resorts

1
Rosewood, which operates 60 ultra-luxury properties across 26 countries and territories, is debuting a global luxury sports travel initiative this summer titled “The Spirit of Celebration.

In recognition of the growing interplay between travel and sports, Rosewood will launch a series of curated seasonal experiences and events for guests across its properties.

Sports Travel: A Global Passion

Sports tourism is soaring in popularity. Recent research from Grand View Research reported that the global sports tourism market, estimated at $803.9 billion in 2025, is expected to reach $927.9 billion in 2026.

This includes attendance at iconic spectator events (such as the FIFA World Cup; championship basketball, football and hockey games; golf tournaments and tennis matches), along with participatory sports (such as marathons, cycling, competitive youth leagues, and adventure sports), which have made sports tourism one of the fastest-growing sectors of the travel industry.

MORE FOR YOU

As a result, travelers are increasingly basing their hotel and resort decisions on opportunities to engage, actively or passively, in sports-oriented events and activities.

Strengthening Ties With Community & Culture

In response to this interest, Rosewood is positioning its properties as hubs of lifestyle, sports, culture and community.

Just a few examples to look for:

Holding Outdoor Watch Parties: On the lawn of Rosewood Villa Magna in Madrid and in the courtyards of Hotel de Crillon, A Rosewood Hotel, and Rosewood Amsterdam, guests can join vibrant watch parties featuring curated menus.

Culinary Pop-ups: Because food and wine express a destination’s history and culture, Rosewood has planned a series of pop-ups, hands-on experiences, and masterclasses. These include a poolside takeover at Asaya Spa at Rosewood Hong Kong and beachside mixology classes at Kona Village, A Rosewood Resort. At Rosewood Mansion on Turtle Creek in Dallas, the property will launch a new menu at its Mansion Bar, commemorating football icons and featuring hand-drawn art depicting historic players.

Shared Natural Discoveries: To encourage outdoor exploration, Rosewood Mayakoba (in Playa del Carmen) is offering private whale shark expeditions and Rosewood Mandarina (in Mexico’s Riviera Nayarit region) is organizing sunset sea turtle conservation rituals.
