Liverpool's new signing Victor Munoz has opened up on how Andoni Iraola's style will suit his game. The Spanish winger joined his team-mates at Kirkby yesterday and was given the No. 23 shirt.

Speaking to the club website, he said: "His style, it is well known already that he likes to play with open wingers on both sides and to build this constant and intense pressure, this overwhelming drive forward.

“So, I think that fits perfectly with my skillset, these are tools that I as a player also bring to the game, so I think it is a good fit for me and I hope to bring these skills to Liverpool."

Michael Owen believes Paris Saint-Germain could force Liverpool into an 'extortionate' fee for Bradley Barcola due to a desperation to replace Mohamed Salah.

Speaking exclusively to the ECHO via Casino.org, the 46-year-old said: "Barcola, he's obviously the big name on everybody's lips. It sounds like he might be available.

"It sounds like he's going to be expensive, though - but they're going to have to make some form of statement signing, of course. You know, it used to be Salah, and [Sadio] Mane and [Luis] Diaz.

"There's so many great wide players [at Liverpool] over the years. And it feels like there's a dearth of them, of course, now at Liverpool.

Speaking about the potential £145m cost of a transfer, Owen added: "That sounds extortionate, doesn't it? For someone that's not proven in the Premier League.

"Obviously played at the highest level, but, yeah, at some point you've got to say no, haven't you? If it gets to £145m, I mean, wow, that's eye-watering…

“And the problem is everybody knows you're desperate for a top-class player, so you're going to have to pay through the nose.

"That might be just what you have to do. But it sounds extortionate, doesn't it? £145 million, that's the number that you're saying."

Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher believes Mohamed Salah is “too good” for Trabzonspor. The ex-Reds winger has agreed a two-year deal with the Turkish side after leaving Anfield this summer.

"I never believed he was going to go to Saudi, because number one, he's too good for that. I think he can be playing in Serie A. Turkey for me feels a level too low," he told the Football Ramble.

"I was convinced he'd end up at an AC Milan or Juventus or somewhere like that, maybe his wages were a problem. Looking at him, I don't know him, obviously have never spoken to him.

"Obviously his wage demands have put a few people off but I thought he might almost curb those demands a little bit to almost get a better club.

"To go to an AC Milan or Juventus or whoever it may be, play at the San Siro, still playing in big games, still playing in Europe. Turkey just feels like... I just think he's better than that."

The BBC claim that Liverpool are preparing to change their stance and improve their bid for Bradley Barcola.

The Reds have so far been refusing to improve on their £100million bid, with PSG holding out for a fee in the region of £145m.

However, Liverpool are expected to break the bank to make Barcola the third player they have paid over £100m for - following Alexander Isak and Florian Wirtz.

And from the French side, L'Equipe claim the two clubs are "very far apart", but they expect the deal to get done, perhaps after PSG have added another winger and striker to their squad.
