Mohammad Rizwan and Litton Das Exchange Heated Words During 2nd Pakistan vs Bangladesh Test

Pakistan batter Mohammad Rizwan and Bangladesh wicketkeeper Litton Das were involved in a tense verbal exchange during the fourth day of the second Test at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium.

The incident between Mohammad Rizwan and Litton Das took place shortly after the Pakistani batter brought up his half-century in Pakistan’s second innings. According to reports from the ground, Rizwan appeared unhappy with movement behind the sightscreen and raised the issue during play. Litton then stepped in, leading to a heated argument between the two players.

The exchange quickly drew attention, with Litton questioning Rizwan’s complaint and accusing him of overreacting after reaching his fifty. Rizwan responded by telling the Bangladesh wicketkeeper that the matter was for him or the umpires to address, not the opposing side.

The flashpoint added fresh spice to a series that had already seen verbal tension between the two players. During the first Test as well, Litton was heard making remarks about Rizwan on the field, suggesting there was already some friction between the pair.

Despite the confrontation, Rizwan stayed focused with the bat and played a key hand for Pakistan in the chase. He remained unbeaten on 75 off 134 balls, hitting eight fours, while Sajid Khan was with him on nine not out at stumps.

Pakistan ended the day on 316-7, still needing 121 more runs to level the series. Before the late wickets, Rizwan and Salman Ali Agha had kept Pakistan in the contest with a valuable 134-run partnership. Agha scored 71 off 102 balls, including six fours and a six, before he was dismissed by Taijul Islam, who later also removed Hasan Ali.

Bangladesh finished the day in a strong position, with Taijul ending as the standout bowler with four wickets, but Rizwan’s presence at the crease kept Pakistan alive heading into the final day.
