A rollercoaster first innings where Sri Lanka A seemingly had India A pushed to a corner at 143/7 only to be denied a sensational 100 run partnership between Suryansh Shedge and Vipraj Nigam which helped India A recover to 265.

The Sri Lankan spinners, led by Vijayakanth Viyaskanth cleaned up the India A top and middle order but Suryansh and Vipraj both scored fighting half-centuries under immense pressure to help India avoid a collapse and post a competitive total.
