India's Squad Announcement LIVE Updates: Shreyas Iyer has been confirmed as India's new T20I captain for the T20I series to Ireland and England and the Asian Games 2026, the Ajit Agarkar-led BCCI selection committee announced on Saturday. 15-year-old sensation Vaibhav Sooryavanshi has also been included in all three squads. Shreyas replaces Suryakumar Yadav as captain, with the latter totally left out of the T20I setup. In all, four squads will be named for: a) two-match T20I series against Ireland; b) five-match T20I series against England; c) the 2026 Asian Games in Japan; d) India A's two multi-day matches in Sri Lanka.
