Corporate teams battle for bragging rights as Business Olympics kicks off

The Citi Business Olympics 2026 is underway at the Eden Heights Sports Complex in Accra, with more than 100 companies converging for a day of sports, networking and corporate camaraderie.

Organised annually by 97.3 Citi FM and Channel One TV, the event brings together companies and professionals to compete across various sporting disciplines while fostering interaction and stronger relationships among businesses.

This year’s edition features seven-a-side football, volleyball, basketball, lawn tennis, swimming, table tennis, arm wrestling, tug-of-war, sack race, draughts, chess, scrabble, lime and spoon, as well as the CEO’s Challenge.

Participants are competing across the various disciplines, testing their teamwork, strategy, endurance, discipline and determination while interacting with colleagues from other organisations outside the workplace.

The event also promotes workplace wellness and work-life balance by encouraging employees to engage in physical activity and recreation.

More than 100 companies from sectors including banking, insurance, telecommunications, oil and gas, construction and manufacturing are participating in the competition, with teams vying for medals, trophies and corporate bragging rights.

The Citi Business Olympics 2026 is powered by 97.3 Citi FM, with support from Channel One TV, and sponsored by Cargill Ghana Limited, Synlab, UMB, Bethel Logistics and Eden Heights Sports Complex.
